No matter. Now I've got stuff to type out aimlessly from the confines of my ravingly random mind I suppose this is the best time to fill the Internet with more streams of unread musing than ever before.

Isn't this supposed to be like filling in a diary?

I digress.

Life has been quite tiring recently. Someone in the family died for one. This time, I've had to be the one to arrange everything that one would arrange when a relative passes on without a will or a solid funeral plan under their belt.

I'll say this though. When someone dies, the vultures really do circle. It's a sad state of affairs.

Inbetween choosing the right type of flowers and various other taxing decisions involving respectful botany and fairly priced coffins, I've spent my days either at the Gym, watching Japanese cartoons and falling asleep therein, or drinking. A lot.

Sometimes I like to combine all three and watch the chaos ensue.

It's been a fond departure from dealing with all this mess though. Last Wednesday night was nuts. I got so drunk that I was acting like a right cocky bastard amongst my regular crowd of drunkard pals. I swear, getting drunk as often as possible and visiting nightclubs is about the only thing anyone does for recreational purposes in this city.

Nothing new there, though. The whole city will be nothing but nightclubs soon enough.

One thing that has bothered me most of all in the previous week or so is this:

"Why the heck can I never seem to win at Jump Ultimate Stars on Wi-Fi?"

I swear. This soul-crushing game will be the end of me. I make such brilliant sets of Koma that I can sit back from my Nintendo DS and smile at with sublime joy ... and, I've nearly unlocked everything! I must be good at it, right?

Wrong.

To be honest, I guess I'm the only one to blame. I should've started importing video-games sooner. If so ... quite possibly, I'd have been kicking arse with various Shonen Jump heroes by now. And laughing like an atypical Shonen Jump villain might during the sweet taste of my string of victories over the masses of Japanese and American players that have had months to become good at the game.

Bitter? Nah. I'm pissed off. Never bitter.

The truth is, I've never won. Once. I've lost five times and I intend to keep it that way until I can become amazingly good at this game. I'll die trying.

You heard it here first.

For the uneducated, "Jump Ultimate Stars" is, in a nutshell, a Japanese Nintendo DS title that chronicles various Japanese manga characters against eachother in 2D flurries of punching and huge energy beams. It's essentially a fighting game in which you create a comic strip of classic moments from the "Shonen Jump" comic universe and let all Hell break loose on your dual screen.

For example, "Dragonball Z" characters can now smack seven shades of shite out of "Naruto" characters whilst maintaining support from "Bleach" characters. And so forth, I declare this game a classic cash cow that deserves that much respect, at least.

People like me are satisfied with the various retro selections on offer, including "Kinnikuman", "Fist of the North Star" and not forgetting the classic "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure". If you ask my honest opinion, I think the more recent and popular titles got the best deal. Even series like "Yu Yu Hakusho" seem quite a bare choice ... despite the fact they were massively popular back in the day and had a large fanbase, too.

I'll leave it at that. I'm a sore loser who is stuck in the past. Glad to see "Sakigake!! Otokojuku" in the mix though. The series that did Ouendan before ... well, Ouendan.

Later ~.
